Our Infrastructure.

MFD has developed the largest and most comprehensive logistics platform in the Indian Ocean.  It offers operators the right infrastructure and equipment for storage and manufacturing, whilst conforming to international standards and environmental norms.

MFD offers world-class facilities which have been specially developed to suit the demands of international clients. Warehousing services are available for most merchandise types, meeting whatever specific storage conditions required. needs

MFD – Within the Port Area

Concrete built and fire resistant, MFD warehouses have been developed to the highest international standards, particularly in terms of quality, security and hygiene. The warehouses are equipped with an internal network of fire hose reels, and fire hydrants. The buildings have also been designed and built to withstand extreme cyclonic conditions.

MFD operates some of the largest cold rooms in the Indian Ocean, offering 96,000m³ of storage. These are built to international standards (HACCP & EU, AFNOR, BTU, ISO) and are designed to store all types of products at controlled temperatures ranging from -40°C to 15°C.

MFD offers industrial warehouse modules in units of different surface areas for value-added transformations as well as customised packaging for individual client needs, all in a highly secure environment.

The MFD Business Centre has ready-to-use offices for lease.

Our quay, dedicated to the fishing industry, has a draft of 9m and is at the very centre of the commercial port and is mainly used for unloading fishing vessels and other carriers.

MFD also manages a container park with a capacity of 7000 TEUs, 96 reefer points for refrigerated containers and equipped with reach stackers of 42T capacity and empty container stackers.

MFD Sky – Within the Airport – New Cargo Village

Concrete built and fire resistant, MFD warehouses have been developed to the highest international standards, particularly in terms of quality, security and hygiene. The warehouses are equipped with an internal network of fire hose reels, fire hydrants and an automated sprinkler system.  The buildings have also been designed and built to withstand extreme cyclonic conditions.

MFD has the largest area of cold room space within the airport area, offering 1,400 m³ of storage.  These are built to international standards (HACCP & EU, AFNOR, BTU, ISO) and are designed to store all types of products at controlled temperatures ranging from +2°C to +15°C.

MFD clients have access to industrial warehouse modules in units of 300m² for value-added transformations as well as customised packaging for individual client needs, all in a highly secure environment.

The MFD Business Centre has ready-to-use offices for lease.

To ensure a complete logistics offering, MFD owns a complete range of transport vehicles:

  • tipper trucks for offloading fish

  • 24-hour electronic surveillance equipped with infrared cameras and regularly patrolled by security guards.

MFD Distribution – Within Riche Terre Industrial Zone

The warehouses are equipped with an internal network of fire hose reels, fire hydrants and an automated sprinkler system. The buildings have also been designed and built to withstand extreme cyclonic conditions.

MFD has a capacity of outside storage of 7,400m2, mainly for the storage of metal (bundles / coils)

MFD Forwarding – Within Riche Terre Industrial Zone

Concrete built and fire resistant, MFD warehouses have been developed to the highest international standards, particularly in terms of quality, security and hygiene. The warehouses are equipped with an internal network of fire hose reels, fire hydrants and an automated sprinkler system. The buildings have also been designed and built to withstand extreme cyclonic conditions.
These warehouses have been tailor-made for a specific client who is expanding its activities in the South Indian Ocean/ East African region and was looking at possibilities for them to operate a regional supply base, in other words, a main logistics hub for the region. MFD has been appointed as their logistics services supplier.
The typical services offered by a logistics contractor in this case are customs clearance, transport, stock control at arrival, sorting, storage, order preparation, packing in containers and export paperwork.
